Transportation Field
Electric vehicles: Capacitors are extensively used in key components such as battery management systems, drive motor controllers, and onboard chargers. Thin film capacitors are used in DC/AC inverters for electric vehicles, which can withstand changes in high voltage and high current, ensuring stable operation of the driving motor. Supercapacitors can also be used as auxiliary power sources for the start stop and acceleration processes of electric vehicles, providing instant high current support, reducing the burden on batteries, and extending battery life.
Rail transit: Capacitors are required in the traction system, auxiliary power system, and signal system of subway, high-speed rail, and other rail transit vehicles. For example, in the traction converter of the subway, electrolytic capacitors are used for energy storage and filtering in the DC link to ensure stable AC voltage output from the converter and drive the traction motor to operate.
